Meet Hannah, LCSW

Owner of Clear Mind Therapy / Co-Owner of The Supported Mama

We are all wired for connection – beginning in infancy, we are driven by the need to experience safety and closeness in relationships. It is the most basic of human needs and it significantly impacts the way we feel. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples find connection with themselves and others – by working through traumas and beliefs that create isolation, anxiety, and pain.

As a clinical social worker, I have worked with individuals from infancy to adulthood. I specialize in working with new parents and couples; while these 2 groups may seem very different, they have something big in common: the attachment system is LIT. UP. It is my joy and passion to support you as you heal from traumas and release unhelpful beliefs-- so you may live your life with a clear mind and an open heart, authentically connected to yourself and others.

While sessions are tailored to each individual, I find that attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches are most helpful for tapping into someone’s true experience – in a way that is client-lead and healing. I integrate attachment-based models like emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and internal family systems (IFS-informed) with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices. I am skilled at working with those who may be experiencing perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, family of origin trauma,  low self-esteem, changes in identity, anxiety, deconstructing social concepts and religious trauma.

I use emotionally focused therapy (EFT) when working with couples. This is an attachment-based model that has quickly become the gold standard for helping couples heal and deepen their relationship. As a couples therapist, I will help you and your partner get out of the cycle you are stuck in. We will experience what it’s like to share and hold vulnerability in a way that fosters connection, safety and bonding.

I am a strengths-based, trauma-informed therapist and human rights advocate. I believe in your power and resilience and want to help you believe in it, too. I am committed to keeping our therapeutic space safe and accepting for all people. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, identities and beliefs. I value the richness and unique perspective you bring to the therapeutic space.

About The Supported Mama and Clear Mind Therapy:

Hannah and Ashley started The Supported Mama (TSM) together in 2019. TSM was born out of a passion to support women as they transition into motherhood- originally offering birth and postpartum doula support. We have since evolved to offer childbirth education classes, baby basics classes, and - for a long time- therapy was offered under The Supported Mama as well! I made the decision to bring therapy under its own business as a way to be inclusive for families seeking support and to continue to grow the practice. We don't *just* work with pregnant and postpartum moms and I wanted the business to reflect that- we welcome dads, couples and even families. The Supported Mama remains a strong and united business and we will continue to offer birth support to our community! You can always access therapy through The Supported Mama, which would bring you right here!
