We are all wired for connection. From our earliest days, we are shaped by our need to feel safe and close to others — it’s one of our most essential human needs and deeply influences how we experience the world. When early experiences involve stress, disconnection, or unmet needs, they can affect the development of our nervous system and, over time, how we relate to others. These early patterns often resurface in adulthood — especially in our closest relationships and in parenthood — where our attachment systems are most active.

I am passionate about helping individuals and couples reconnect with themselves and each other by working through the effects of early trauma and the protective beliefs that contribute to isolation, anxiety, and pain. My approach is grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, and integrates somatic and polyvagal principles to help restore a sense of safety in the body and within your most important relationships. Together, we work to gently reconnect mind and body — creating space for healing, regulation, and authentic connection.

As a clinical social worker, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan, from infancy through adulthood. I specialize in supporting parents and couples — two groups that may seem very different but share something powerful in common: their attachment systems are lit up. It is my joy and passion to walk alongside you as you heal from early wounds and release unhelpful beliefs, so you can live with a clear mind, an open heart, and genuine connection to yourself and others.

While sessions are tailored to each individual, I find that attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches are most helpful for tapping into someone’s true experience in a way that is client-led and deeply healing. I integrate emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and internal family systems (IFS-informed) with mindfulness practices, and somatic techniques to support whole-person healing. I am experienced in working with those navigating:

  • Perinatal mood & anxiety disorders

  • Early childhood trauma/ relational trauma

  • Low self-esteem

  • Identity changes

  • Anxiety

  • Deconstructing social or religious frameworks

  • Integration after psychedelic or ketamine assisted therapy

When working with couples, I primarily use emotionally focused therapy (EFT), an attachment-based model considered the gold standard for helping partners heal and deepen their connection. As a couples therapist, I will help you and your partner move out of painful cycles and into new ways of sharing vulnerability — fostering emotional safety, trust, and lasting connection.

I am a strengths-based, trauma-informed therapist and human rights advocate. I believe deeply in your innate capacity for healing and resilience and want to help you believe in it too. I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that is safe, affirming, and inclusive for all people. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, identities, and beliefs, and I honor the unique perspective you bring to the healing process.

About The Supported Mama and Clear Mind Therapy:

Hannah and Ashley started The Supported Mama (TSM) together in 2019. TSM was born out of a passion to support women as they transition into motherhood- originally offering birth and postpartum doula support. We have since evolved to offer childbirth education classes, baby basics classes, and - for a long time- therapy was offered under The Supported Mama as well! I made the decision to bring therapy under its own practice as a way to be inclusive and welcoming for all individuals and families seeking therapeutic support. We don't *just* work with pregnant and postpartum moms and I wanted the practice to reflect that. The Supported Mama will continue to offer birth support to our community! You can always access therapy through The Supported Mama, which would bring you right here!
