Hannah Murfet, LCSW

Training and Credentials

Hannah Murfet earned dual Masters degrees in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Georgia. Since earning her Masters in 2015, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including residential treatment and other not-for-profits. Hannah is a co-owner of The Supported Mama, founded in 2019 with her sister-in-law. She is a certified doula and childbirth educator. While she does not currently attend births as a doula, her experience has informed her therapeutic approach when working with those who have experienced birth trauma and infant loss. 

Hannah has advanced training in  maternal mental health, perinatal mood & anxiety disorders and infant grief and loss through the Seleni Institute. She is a provider associated with Postpartum Support International and has worked with mothers in the perinatal period for about 6 years.

Hannah completed the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Externship in 2022 and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) training in 2023. She is currently completing the EFT Core Skills training and participates in a supervision group to further refine her skills as an EFT therapist.
